Rebranding Venture Capital in the Southeast United States
The Vision
Chattanooga Renaissance Fund is impacting how entrepreneurship is lead in the Southeast United States. We felt it was our responsibility to create for their team a digital experience worthy of their mission.
01 The Identity

Whiteboard designed a mark identifiable as Chattanooga: meaningful, lasting, and representative of brand purpose.

 

02 Web Design & Development

Whiteboard designed and developed an award-winning website for Chattanooga Renaissance Fund. The design is meant to be sophisticated, but hones in on subtle details that makes the fully responsive website design come alive.

03 Tagline Creation

Whiteboard developed the tagline, “A Bridge Forward”. Entrepreneurism parallels how the bridges have become a large part of Chattanooga’s identity, connecting people across multiple sections of the river-divided metropolitan area.

01 The Identity

Chattanooga Renaissance Fund (CRF) invests in seed and early-stage companies that display great habits and solid growth potential: “We focus primarily on entrepreneurs that are beyond the ‘idea on the back of a napkin’ but are still searching for mentorship and positive connections. Each member of CRF brings a level of expertise and experience invaluable to the longevity and growth of the fund.”

It started with a request for proposal. The CRF leaders wanted to see imagination in these proposals. We gave our presentation to the partners of the fund and it was decided that Whiteboard would lead creative on a new identity, tagline, and website for CRF. Over the course of several months we conducted interviews and research that not only gave insight into the influence of CRF, but the rich history of Chattanooga.

02 Web Design & Development

Whiteboard’s goal was to motivate visitors and loyal participants to engage with companies, products, and programs led by the Chattanooga Renaissance Fund.

Our team aimed to marry strong identity and clear communication. We worked to find the right photography to represent CRF’s core tenets. Once we found the right moments and the right scenes that inspired communication and design to prospective entrepreneurs, mentors, and other opportunities CRF partners with, we went on to paint an experience that showcased Chattanooga as a viable place to start and lead a business.

Investing is the core of CRF. We realized the importance of building a unique portfolio experience that displays the diverse investment culture of CRF. By illuminating organizational society, company leaders, and mentor relationships – prospective companies can see a glimpse into what a partnership might look like with CRF.

Chattanooga Renaissance Fund has been recognized throughout the design community. Their website has been featured on: Site Inspire, Web Design Ledger, The Best Designs, Worthy of Note, Flat UI Design, Flat Trendz, and more.

Final Thoughts

Chattanooga Renaissance Fund is impacting how entrepreneurship is lead in the Southeast United States. Our team was honored to be selected to lead the next chapter of branding for CRF. It is our hope that Chattanooga, Tennessee continues to be spotlighted for it’s fertile startup culture and unique terrain for innovative technology. CRF is leading both.
